Megan Meece, MS, CCC-SLP
Megan has been working as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist since 2020. She was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, and came to Oregon to complete her Master’s in Communication Sciences & Disorders at Portland State University.
Megan brings a wide range of experience working with children across pediatric outpatient clinics, early intervention programs, and schools supporting children with diverse needs, including autism, Down syndrome, genetic conditions, speech and language differences, AAC use, and feeding challenges. She has also co-led a retreat centered on communication confidence and peer relationships for individuals who stutter.
Her clinical interests include early speech and language development, childhood apraxia of speech, support for neurodivergent children, and ensuring early access to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Megan’s work is grounded in child-led, relationship-based practices, drawing from the Hanen approach, the PLAY Project, and DIR®/Floortime™. She is trained in gestalt language processing and is Hanen More Than Words® certified, allowing her to provide families with an evidence-based, supportive framework tailored specifically for autistic children.
In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time in the mountains, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs.
