Evaluation and Therapy Services

Our Approach to Therapy

Two young girls playing with colorful wooden toys at a table in a playroom decorated with a canopy and hanging lights.

Our speech therapy sessions are child-led and play-based, grounded in the belief that meaningful growth happens through connection, curiosity, and trust. We follow the child’s lead during sessions—because every child is unique—but always with clear therapeutic intention and purpose.

Each session is tailored to the individual needs of the child, guided by their interests and developmental stage. By creating an engaging environment, we foster connection first—because strong relationships are the foundation for meaningful progress.

We also value the vital role of parents and caregivers in a child’s development. That's why we actively involve families in the therapeutic process, whether by joining sessions, providing regular progress updates, or offering practical strategies to support growth at home. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of your child’s needs, along with tools and ideas to nurture progress between sessions.

Our work is collaborative, compassionate, and always centered on your child’s well-being.

Evaluations

Our speech therapy evaluations are designed to give us a comprehensive picture of your child’s communication skills, including their strengths, challenges, and unique interests. We take a holistic approach to understanding how your child communicates in everyday settings.

The evaluation process includes:

  • Gathering information from parents and caregivers to understand your child’s history, development, and daily communication.

  • Observing and interacting with your child through play-based, engaging activities that feel natural and comfortable.

  • Collecting a speech and language sample to assess how your child uses and understands language in real time.

We look beyond standardized scores to truly understand how your child connects, expresses themselves, and interacts with the world. The insights gained during this evaluation help us create meaningful goals and guide any recommended therapy in a way that’s tailored to your child and your family.

The woman is pointing upward with an expression of explaining or teaching, while the girl is holding a wooden toy elephant and has her hand on her chest, seemingly listening attentively. There are various other toys on the table, and a large potted plant is visible in the background.

Speech Sound Disorders

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) Phonological/Articulation Disorders

Speech Therapy helps children who have difficulty pronouncing sounds correctly, making their speech hard to understand. This may include challenges with articulation (saying individual sounds), phonological processes (patterns of sound errors), or motor speech (difficulty planning and coordinating the movements needed for speech). Therapy is tailored to each child’s needs and focuses on improving:

  • Confidence in speaking

  • Clarity & accuracy

  • Communicate more effectively

  • Participate in conversations

  • Succeed in social and academic settings (reading & writing)

We also specialize in working with gestalt language learners or children who use echolalia and scripting to communicate. Reach out to learn more!
